Santee Lake Recreation Preserve will celebrate the grand opening of Topwater Grill with a weekend of live music, food and drink specials, and family activities Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15.
The new waterfront restaurant, operated by Pacific Dining Group, will serve California-American cuisine along with beverages from local breweries and wineries.
“We are proud to welcome Pacific Dining Group as our food and beverage partner,” said Cory Kading, Park & Recreation director. “Topwater Grill represents our ongoing commitment to enhancing the experience for all who visit Santee Lakes.”
The opening weekend will feature live music from Miranda Ramos and Dylan Razwick on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., and from Gary Seiler on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Food and drink specials will be offered both days.
Additional activities include an RC sailboat regatta and boat parade with hands-on demonstrations Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests who purchase parking will be able to apply that cost toward a $20 minimum food and beverage purchase. Fathers will fish for free Sunday with a paid child fishing permit.
Topwater Grill is located inside Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve and will be open to the public.
