Assembly member Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins recently visited The Montera, an MBK Senior Living community in La Mesa facilitated by representatives from the California Assisted Living Association, touring the community to engage with residents and team members to better understand the needs of seniors in her district. Collins actively participated in community activities, including an exercise class, a church service, and a lively poker game in the bistro. She also shared her commitment to senior advocacy, highlighting her initiative to hire seniors in both her district and Sacramento offices and her plans to establish a senior advisory committee.

“It’s incredibly heartwarming to see our legislators in action,” said Morgan Cadmus, MBK Senior Living’s Director of Regional Operations in a press release. “When our representatives take the time to come out and better understand the benefits of our communities and the industry as a whole, everybody wins.”
