Spring Valley Branch Library Manager Charlotte King-Mills said this program is a gateway to get members of the community to engage in conversation and culture and that she is thankful for the Friends of the Spring Valley library that sponsored the program.

“All of the county library branches are running events that are associated with Cuban culture, music,” she said. “We chose to highlight a local musician here in Spring Valley who recently relocated from Cuba. He is a world renowned flute player and used to be a lecturer at the National Museum of music in Havana. His wife is a dancer and is collaborating with her husband with dance.”

“Waiting for Snow in Havana” is available at your local county branch library.
