Stagehouse Theatre at Grossmont College draws the curtain on its 2022-2023 seaon with its final production of the year, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Directed by Jersten Seraile, the comedy by William Shakespeare has a number of plots surrounding the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta.
“I’m thrilled to direct A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Grossmont College. Our production is a celebration of identity and all things that make us unique while also reflecting back on the systemic barriers in our communities and society as a whole. My hope is that audiences will walk away from this production reflecting on how we as a community can lead with love and grace in our day-today lives,” said Seraile.
The cast includes Ali Al-Sudany, Cecilia Cuevas, Kaitlyn Dupuy, Riley Ellis, Ava-Marie Esser, Stephen Foo, Jacob Human, Colby Koo, Klarissa Miller, Tori Mitchell, Becca Moore, Gabby Muñoz, Ryan Robbins, Angie Rodriguez, Aubrey Schreier, Ace In Spadesz, and Ryan Zook.
Performances are May 18-27, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10-$16 and available through stagehousetheatre.com or by phone at (619) 644-7234. Free parking is available in Lot 1 near the Performing & Visual Arts Center.
