He recorded 13 birdies in the tournament, which was the most on the team and tied for the 12th most in the tournament.
Lague also ranked second in the 64-man field in par-4 scoring (3.87).
On the season, Lague is averaging 72.58 in 12 rounds across four tournaments.
SDSU next competes in The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab at PGA West, Feb. 21-23, in La Quinta, California.
Junior golf
Steele Canyon High School student Anna Davis posted a 1-under-par 71 to finish three shots ahead of Rancho Santa Fe’s Yaowen Zhang to win the eBob Apparel championship division tournament at Native Oakes Golf Club on Sunday, Jan. 30.
Davis, 15, the 2021 SDJGA San Diego Junior Golf Association Player of the Year, recorded an eagle on the 18th hole. She has qualified for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur by her win at the Junior PGA Championship last summer.
Del Norte High School senior Evan Rafael, 18, captured the boys championship event with one-hole playoff over San Diego’s David Zhang. Rafael made par on the first playoff hole for the victory.
Both Rafael and Zhang finished regulation in one-under-par 70.
Rafael’s round featured four birdies that included a birdie on the 18th hole to force a playoff.
