Grossmont Union High School District Superintendent Theresa Kemper has announced that she will retire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year after two years in her current position and 33 years with the district.

Kemper currently oversees more than 17,000 students across 17 senior high schools and specialized academies.

The district’s governing board plans to conduct a nationwide search for the next Superintendent, with input from the GUHSD community, and identify their final selection in May.
