Volunteers will gather at parks throughout the city tomorrow, Nov.1 as part of the annual Park Appreciation Day.
Participants are asked to sign up on line at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080A4BAFA82EA7F94-59221665-lamesa#/ .
Parks include Collier Park, Community Garden, Highwood Park and MacArthur Park and Community Center.
Tasks include weeding the upper slope near the nature area and power washing the courts at Collier Park; adding mulch to the garden at Community Park, landscaping the slope near the courts and along the fence line and trimming around the teen center at Highwood Park, and removing leaves near the community center and adding mulch to the hillside near the pool at MacArthur Park.
Participants are asked to bring gloves and tools if they have them. The clean up is from 8 a.m. to noon. For more information call (619) 667-1300.
