Santee Lakes has stocked 3,000 pounds of rainbow trout, along with popular lighting trout for its annual Trout RE-Opener on Jan. 13-14 from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.
“This is a great family friendly outdoor event. Whether you’re an avid angler or fishing for the first time, we hope you give Santee Lakes a visit. 3,000 lbs. of rainbow trout including some trophy sized trout will be split into 3 Lakes,” said Greg Even, event coordinator in a press release.
Santee Lakes’ onsite restaurant, Angry Petes Pizza will open at 6 a.m. both days.
Gate entrance is $7 per carload.
Permits for adults are $10.
Juniors and Seniors $6, and a second pole stamp is $4. Permits can be purchased in advance at the General Store.
