During the COVID-19 pandemic, San Ysidro Health is providing telehealth services to anyone in the San Diego region including its expanded service area in East County. The SYHealthLine, 619-205-6792 is available for patients to speak with a health care provider and discuss if they think they have COVID-19 symptoms or were exposed to anyone with symptoms. The SYHealthLine is available Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“During these unprecedented times, San Ysidro Health is proud to respond to the medical, dental and behavioral health needs of all in our San Diego region,” said Kevin Mattson, president and CEO, San Ysidro Health. “We thank our patients for trusting us as their provider of care and welcome all Mountain Health patients into our network of care.”
“We are excited to be part of the San Ysidro Health team,” said Judith Shaplin, chief executive officer, Mountain Health. “Both Mountain Health and San Ysidro have similar organizational values and we look forward to offering our patients a wider range of high quality and compassionate services.”
San Ysidro Health has established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help continue to provide essential health services in the safest manner for their 105,000 patients including rural families in its new service area in East County. The COVID-19 Relief Fund will help support the following: Purchase much-needed and limited PPEs such as masks, face shields, gloves, and covers-ups, provide essential health services and fund fresh food distribution programs in San Diego County.
Recently, Grossmont Healthcare District contributed to the organization’s relief fund through a grant of $24,910 that will be used to purchase essential equipment for four of the organization’s clinic sites located in the East County. San Ysidro Health thanks Grossmont Health Care District for their support. Donations to the organization’s COVID-19 Relief Fund can be made at www.syhc.org/covid-19/.
