Individual Winner

Group Winner

Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS Navy) – Detachment San Diego located in Point Loma, has been an Adopt –A –Route group for the Metro Service Center since 2015. Throughout this partnership CSCS Navy has strengthened our ability to deliver meals to seniors living in downtown San Diego, taking ownership of one of the most challenging routes to deliver. Showing consistency while in military uniform, their visibility has helped build capacity in clients receiving meals in the area. CSCS Navy especially likes to spend time with our military veterans.

Corporate Winner

Sony Electronics, Inc. has made donations of their TVs to support Meals on Wheels San Diego County operations throughout the years. Their large screen TVs help project important information at our volunteer orientations and other functions.

In 2016, Sony Electronics, Inc. adopted one route in Rancho Bernardo. Their original plan was to volunteer on the route for six months. However, the Sony Adopt-A-Route continued beyond two consecutive “6 months” and is still going strong. They add an additional delivery day each month to accommodate the increase of volunteers who are enthused with Meals on Wheels services.
