“Dear President Barack Obama,

We, the Iraqi community in El Cajon, California are organizing in solidarity to support the Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi to counter act governmental corruption within the current Iraqi government. We would also like to declare our support for the Iraqi army, the popular crowd and tribal fighters who are fighting terrorism, crime, and supporting the armed military.

We are asking for your support because we have more than two million displaced Iraqi people due to violence and terrorism. Iraq cannot defeat terrorism without international and regional alliance of other countries. It is our hope that in collaboration within each other in the community as well as asking for the U.S. government’s support that we can ease the suffering of Iraqis who continue to be displaced despite the political efforts of the last fifteen years to rebuild our country.

We hope and we ask you to lend us your help, experience, support and resources to rebuilding a democratic Iraqi that respects and recognizes the rights of the people of Iraq for the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The Iraqi Center for Dialogue has organized collaborations efforts with the local community, government and organizations to connect and develop relationships that foster understanding, relationship building and support for our mission and vision to rebuild a democratic Iraq.”
