An estimated 2,500 partiers kicked off Downtown El Cajon’s Dinner & a Concert series with coffee house rocker and former Padre Tim Flannery and his band performing on the Prescott Promenade May 1.
El Cajon Downtown Business Partners’ Cathy Zeman, Frank Lubak, and Bill Noble were part of the force behind booking the entertainment that included the well-received Tim Flannery and booking returning groups like Elvis impersonator Scot Bruce, the 80’s All-Stars, and more.
An estimated 2,500 partiers kicked off Downtown El Cajon’s Dinner & a Concert series with coffee house rocker and former Padre Tim Flannery and his band performing on the Prescott Promenade May 1.
El Cajon Downtown Business Partners’ Cathy Zeman, Frank Lubak, and Bill Noble were part of the force behind booking the entertainment that included the well-received Tim Flannery and booking returning groups like Elvis impersonator Scot Bruce, the 80’s All-Stars, and more.
But the music is just a part of the Friday night specials with the dinner part available with $2 pizza slices from Nicolosi’s sold on their patio or sample Mexican entrees at Downtown Café. Local restaurants were ready for take-out or eat in. Zeman said that concert goers can also just bring their dinner from home.
Dinner & a Concert can truly be viewed as date night, family night, or concert night.
Residents and tourists have an opportunity to enjoy Dinner & a Concert Friday nights until September 25.
Zeman cited new musical groups like Upstream, The Mighty Untouchables, Stars on the Water, and none other than Gary Puckett and the Union Gap on September 25.
“Bring a chair” Zeman said and she also noted vendors like the Caliano Food Truck, Holes Mini Donuts, and Lip Smacking Eats are among the other pleasure to enjoy besides the tunes.
Summertime 2015, almost, and the liv’in will be easy in El Cajon.
