America on Main Street 2020 was scheduled for May 16 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, El Cajon City Council on April 28 announced the cancellation of the event, postponing it until 2021. Celebrating 100 Years of Aviation in San Diego will remain the theme. With activities for all ages, the celebration draws more than 30,000 people for the one-day event. One of the major highlights of kicking off the festival each year is the Oath of Allegiance to the United States for new American citizens.
