The 10th Annual Ladies at the Lake Fall Market will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at the beautiful Lake 1 event area at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s event celebrates its 10th anniversary.
What started in 2016 with just 34 vendors has grown to nearly 130 vendors, making Ladies at the Lake one of Santee Lakes’ most anticipated events of the year. The market celebrates women-owned businesses, along with a few men who have joined along the way and gives shoppers the opportunity to find unique products while supporting local businesses.
With over 130 vendors, guests can shop for holiday items, bath and body products, plants, wall art, woodwork, hand-poured candles, makeup and skincare, jewelry, clothing, handbags, home décor, health products, handmade items, spices, preserves, resin art, pottery, stained glass, and plenty of other unique finds. There is always something new to discover at Ladies at the Lake.
The event is free to attend, and guests will pay a $10 parking fee to enter Santee Lakes. To help celebrate their 10th year, organizers will be giving away special commemorative tote bags to the first 100 carloads entering through the gatehouse, one per car.
Guests can also take a break from shopping and enjoy the drinks lounge under the gazebo, hosted by Bella Beverage Catering and Burly & The Bean. There will also be a food court with a variety of food truck options.
Event sponsors, The Barn San Diego and Consolidated Business Systems Inc. (CBSI), will also be on site with flowers available for purchase.
“Our first event in 2016 had just under 40 vendors, so it’s hard to believe we’re now preparing to celebrate our 10th year with more than 130 vendors,” said Shawna Fakhouri, event coordinator. “This has become one of our favorite events, and it’s been so rewarding to watch it grow year after year. We love creating a day where people can shop local, discover new businesses and enjoy everything Santee Lakes has to offer. Reaching this 10-year milestone is special, and we’re excited to celebrate with the vendors, shoppers and community members who have supported Ladies at the Lake along the way.”
