On Oct. 18, the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce held is 22nd Annual Women in Leadership event at Sycuan Casino Resort.
This year the Chamber was honored to have the program emceed by KUSI’s Lauren Phinney, include over 450 in attendance, with keynote speaker Dr. Adela de la Torre, President of San Diego State University and award seven outstanding women: Alexis Villanueva, Dr. Amy Adome, M.D., M.P.H., Celia Creek, Dawn Myers, Denise Whisenhunt, Dr. Lynn Neault, and Tonya Torosian.
In 2003, the first Women in Leadership Luncheon (WILL) was launched with the idea of honoring women who excel professionally and as community leaders. The successful women of San Diego County, along with our inspirational keynote speakers, keep WILL growing year after year. The heart of WILL centers around each years’ nominees: women who demonstrate exemplary character, integrity, and leadership.
