On Wednesday evening VIEJAS Casino & Resort, once again expanded their property by adding 287,660 sq. ft. of beautiful hotel, Willows Spa, and three fabulous new dining experiences, that are a must when you visit, and the service is world class, always with a smile.

The amount of media outlets were tremendous, both local and from outside the county. There was a tremendous amount of excitement in the atmosphere. Every employee on the property was extremely helpful and promoted the new addition as if it was their own grand opening.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, all were all directed to one of the new fine dining establishments added, The Locale. A very interesting concept, with a very modern, sophisticated atmosphere. A fine dining, yet the servers, knowledgeable and friendly, served up some of its signature dishes. However the staff was dressed in casual attire. I tried to make it a point to ask different staff members a host of questions to really obtain a feel for what this particular restaurant had to offer, I could not get over the ambience I felt. I chose to have a cup of black coffee, however the idea of ordering the coffee was to provide an opportunity to speak with one of the servers one on one. Michael, who introduced himself, explained exactly what there was to offer, as far as beer, wine and spirits. He said that there are eight different wines to select from, along with Ballast Point on draft, and also every spirit available if that was what the guest was in search of. All of the men and women servers alike had genuine smiles and concern for the customers. There were a couple of appetizers, I recall being divine and a lot of healthy options. A few examples, the minced crab, along with scallions and avocado, and the signature salad that included couscous, almonds, pomegranate, corn and a few other tasty treats. In a nutshell, a healthier choice, served up fresh, and all of the ingredients are from local farms.
For Asian food lovers, the Ginger Noodle Bar, offering classic rice and noodle dishes we all know and love, along with the contemporary dishes, try them all.
Do not miss the Daily Roast. Offering delectable pastries, hot and cold teas, a variety of coffee styles and flavors, more unique than the typical, Starbucks type beverages, I love Starbucks, but the Daily Roast is a must, and does however, proudly serve Starbucks products. This spot is open 24 hours for customer convenience.
The new Willows Hotel and Spa, is very modern and fun, for adult fun only, 21 and up, to enhance a visit to the playground and amenities for adults. The hotel includes 159 suites, with six different experiences.
The Signature Plus Suite, 600 sq. ft., with Private Terrace accommodations, the WillowSuite, 700 sq. ft., providing a panoramic view of Alpine; Escape Suite, 700 sq. st., featuring wall to wall corner windows that will provide front row seats to watch some of San Diego’s best mountainous sunsets, Allure Suites, 700 sq. ft. with expanded social areas overlooking the adult only, salt water pool, and the Veranda Suite, 700 sq. ft., with a private access to the pool directly from the Suite.
Last but certainly not least, the Willows Spa, San Diego’s newest 8,650 sq. ft., full-service day spa. You can feel the atmosphere as you enter the day spa, your relaxation has already begun, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The varieties include, seven treatment rooms offering endless therapies, two hair stations, two pedicure stations, two manicure stations, two outdoor spa cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center, salt-water spa pool, salt sauna, steam room and again, 21 and over.
