This year’s San Diego Section soccer playoffs will be contested in six competitive divisions.
The Open Division will consist of eight teams while brackets for Division I through Division V will include 12 teams.
All league champions are guaranteed a berth in the playoffs. Remaining berths will be filled on an at-large basis.
However, if a league champion is not seeded in the playoffs, that league champion will host a play-in game against the lowest seeded team in its respective division.
If a play-in game is necessary, it will be held on Monday, Feb. 14.
Playoffs in all boys divisions, including the Open Division, kicks off Tuesday, Feb. 15, Wednesday, Feb. 16, for girls teams.
Open Division semifinals are scheduled Feb. 22 in both gender fields. Semifinal losers will play a state play-in game on Feb. 24.
Championship games are scheduled Feb. 25 at Hilltop High School. Girls teams will open the championship double-header at 4:30 p.m., followed by the boys final at 7:30 p.m.
The Division I quarterfinals are slated for Feb. 18 (boys) and Feb. 19 (girls). Semifinals are Feb. 22 (boys) and Feb. 23 (girls). Championship games are scheduled Feb. 26 at Hilltop High School, with the boys final at 4:30 p.m., followed by the girls final at 7:30 p.m.
The Division II quarterfinals are Feb. 18 (boys) and Feb. 19 (girls), followed by semifinals in both gender fields on Feb. 23. Championship games are scheduled Feb. 25 at Patrick Henry High School — girls final at 4:30 p.m. and boys final at 7:30 p.m.
The Division III quarterfinals are Feb. 18 (boys) and Feb. 19 (girls). Semifinals in both gender fields are Feb. 22. Championship matches are scheduled Feb. 24 at Patrick Henry High School – boys at 4:30 p.m. and girls at 7:30 p.m.
The Division IV quarterfinals are Feb. 18 (boys) and Feb. 19 (girls), followed by semifinals in both gender fields on Feb. 23. Championship games are scheduled Feb. 25 at Rancho Bernardo High School — girls at 4:30 p.m. and boys at 7:30 p.m.
