San Ysidro Health front-line staff receive donation of meals from Frontline Foods

On Aug. 26, San Ysidro Health, formerly Mountain Health, clinics in El Cajon, Alpine and Campo received a donation of meals for the organization’s front-line staff from Frontline Foods as a thank you for their fearless dedication during this pandemic. Frontline Foods will also be delivering meals to San Ysidro Health’s sites and its frontline staff in the Central and West region of San Diego County in September. A total of 1,066 meals will be donated by the organization through restaurants.

San Ysidro Health remains open and continues to provide essential and accessible and affordable health care services for families, many of which are essential workers, across San Diego County.

Frontline Foods San Diego is a local non-profit that launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020. They raise money from the community to pay local restaurants to make and deliver meals to essential workers on the frontlines. As of August, they have coordinated nearly 14,000 meals to 61 different healthcare and frontline organizations, all the while supporting 55 local restaurants.

San Ysidro Health has established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help continue to provide essential health services in the safest manner for their 107,000 patients including rural families in East County. The COVID-19 Relief Fund will help support the following: COVID-19 testing and follow up care, SYHealth Telehealth services and healthcare services.
