New AAUW officers to be sworn in

On June 8, the installation of the La Mesa-El Cajon Branch of the American Association of University Women’s installation meeting will be held at Foothills United Methodist Church’s King Hall in La Mesa. The morning meeting begins with a 9:30 a.m. social, and this year’s theme is “The Tropics are Calling!” Attire for the event is tropical. The new officers will be led by returning President Elect Jane Drinkwalter.

In addition to the meeting, there will be a slide show focusing on the many activities and projects supported this year by the branch, and the presentation of the President’s Book. This meeting is open to the public.

The new elected board consist of President Jane Drinkwalter, President-elect Marilyn Daniels; First Vice-Presidents Programs Sandra Galea-Martinez and Sue Sutton, Second Vice-President Membership Lorrain Duffy, Third Vice-President Cathy Berciga; Branch and Membership Treasurer Jane Niemeier; Public Policy and International Affairs Charlotte Germundson and Vicki Reed, Recording Secretary Cathy Kornweibel, and Ways and Means Ann McDonald.
