The La Mesa Juneteenth Foundation along with the Black Chamber of Commerce are hosting the inaugural La Mesa Juneteenth & Friends Jubilee Sunday, June 18.
The celebration is from noon to 4 p.m. at MacArthur Park, 4900 Memorial Drive.
Attendees will be able to enjoy food, art, music, dance and crafts.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865 when the last slaves in the country were emancipated.
