The City of La Mesa and I Love A Clean San Diego are partnering for a community litter cleanup event in the Downtown Village and surrounding neighborhood on Saturday, May 3.
The cleanup will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., with participants checking in at the La Mesa City Hall parking lot, located between Date Avenue and Allison Avenue. Volunteers will receive supplies, including trash pickers, buckets and high-visibility vests, before spreading out across the area to collect litter and recyclables.
Organizers encourage volunteers to wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes and sun protection, and to bring a reusable water bottle. Trash pickers and buckets will be provided.
Public transportation is recommended, as parking may be limited. The Downtown Village cleanup is typically the busiest of La Mesa’s litter cleanup events.
