It is more than business with CKO Kickboxing’s grand opening, it is personal

In a sentiment that could apply to many things Santee Chamber of Commerce’s President John Olsen said, “Keep pushing us!” And the perfect spot for him to say it was at the grand opening ceremony for Santee’s CKO Kickboxing gym held on Sept. 20.

A good quote indeed—one that applies to the owners, Bonnie and Brenton Danieli, who opened the franchise gym in June.

Bonnie pushed herself to lose 40 pounds at another CKO Kickboxing location and it turned into a passion for her and her husband so much so that they opened their own CKO in June.

The Danieli’s hosted their grand opening last Saturday. Members, representatives from local politicans, and friends cheered them on as a new business in Santee and for their continued success.

Mike Harrison, representing Congressman Duncan Hunter, presented them with a certificate and welcomed them as a new resource to the Santee business family. Sen. Joel Anderson’s staff also provided a certificate to welcome the business to Santee.

While three jabs and a right cross, a typical kickboxing command was not heard during the grand opening food from L & L Hawaiian provided nourishments for the attendees—perhaps before they worked out later in the day or sometime this week.

Brenton Danieli noted that their style does not encompass sparing or fighting. The fitness bags lined the gym on the ready for a class. CKO products like harbinger wraps, boxing gloves, towels, and t-shirts were on the ready for members to purchase.   Items needed to help push their clients.
