Friday, June 9 – 6:00 p.m.- Teen Summer Reading Lock-in at Lakeside Library

Friday, June 9 – 6:00 p.m.- Teen Summer Reading Lock-in at Lakeside Library
Teens will be locked in the library for some food, fun and meeting new friends. Parental permission is required to attend. There will be a special guest with Natasha who will do Henna Tattoos for those who are interested. This program is for teens going into grades 6-12.
Saturday, June 10 – 2:00 p.m.- Ice Cream Social and Book Sale
Do you want some nuts, sprinkles, whipped cream or cherries on your yummy vanilla ice cream? The Lakeside Friends of the Library will also have a Book and T-shirt Sale – and Martin Serda plays the guitar and sings some songs.
Tuesday, June 13 – 3:00 p.m.- Silkscreen T Shirt Printing for Teens
Create and design your own silkscreen t-shirt. Supplies will be provided and snacks for teens going into grades 6-12.
Wednesday, June 14 – 3:00 p.m.- Summer Reading Kick-Off with Sparkles the Clown
Come sign-up for summer reading and Reading By Design! Kids will enjoy a bubble show, making bubble art and more fun with bubbles. Fun for kids of all ages and don't forget to sign up for summer reading. Light refreshments will be provided.
Saturday, June 17 – 2 p.m. – Zentangle Art with Janet Masey
If you haven't Zentagled yet, this is your chance to check this out! Create your designs with this easy to follow and contemplative art form. RSVP!
Tuesday, June 20 – 3:00 P.M.- Smoothie Central
Design your own Smoothie recipe and join the taste test challenge – whose smoothie will reign supreme? This event is for teens going into grades 6-12.
Wednesday, June 21 – 3:00 p.m.- Circus Minimus Marionette Show
In this puppet circus, ten performing marionettes take you to the limits of the marvelous. Stay after the show to learn more about the puppets: how they are made, how to use them, and more! Presented by Pig's Eye Puppets.
Saturday, June 24 – 11:00 a.m.- Keyip! Kechuw! Listen! Make! Native American Storytime
Come Listen to How Jackrabbit Got His Very Long Ears, a southwestern story. Come to listen to a story and make a special craft. Perfect attendance prizes will be awarded, snacks will be provided at each meeting. Program is for kids in grades K-2. This program is in partnership with the Barona Cultural Center and Museum.
4:30 p.m.- Summer Concert: Celtic Music with Adrienne Nims
Legendary saxophone master Adrienne Nims and band play Celtic tunes from her album "Lady from the Loch".
