Drop-offs, giveaways in Lemon Grove

The City of Lemon Grove and EDCO Disposal are teaming up together to provide Lemon Grove residents with a quadruplet collections day on Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. – noon. These collections include a bulk-item drop-off, ewaste collection, paper shredding, and a mulch giveaway.

This event is for Lemon Grove residents who must provide proof of residency.

The Bulk-Item Drop-Off event will be held at 3200 Main Street with the line forming on the 7700 block of Pacific Avenue. The cost of the bulk drop-off is $20 per vehicle or trailer with a maximum on two vehicle trips.

Accepted items include household furniture, appliances, debris from home improvements, beverage recyclables, and green waste which must be sorted separately. Payment can be made by cash, debit, or credit card.

The free E-Waste Collection/ Paper Shredding drop-off will be at the Treganza Heritage Park parking lot located at 3200 Main Street, with the line forming on the 7700 block of Pacific Avenue.

Accepted items include e-waste (printers, computer monitors, TVs, cell phones). Paper shredding is limited to two banker boxes (10”x12”x14”) per household.

Items not accepted are household hazardous waste such as light bulbs, batteries, paint, pesticides, herbicides, tires, commercial or medical waste, and oversized items such as pianos and spas.

The free Mulch Giveaway will be held at 3200 Main Street. Persons must self-serve and self load, bring their own cans, bags, gloves, and shovel, with a limit of three cans/bags per vehicle.
