The Santee Farmers’ Market is held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at Pathways Community Church. Among items available are seasonal fruits and vegetables, free-range eggs, local honey and other foods. WIC, EBT and debit/credit cards are accepted. The church is at 9638 Carlton Hills Blvd. Enter the parking lot via the driveway west of the farmers’ market.

The Spring Valley Farmers’ Market takes place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Family Fitness and Fun Park, 3845 Spring Drive in Spring Valley.

SPLASHY SCREENING

Sycuan Casino is hosting movie screenings every Friday night at the resort pool. Feature films can be watched from the pool, reserved lounge chair, daybed or cabana. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Pool access is for those 21 years and older. FAMILY TALES

An exhibit featuring Kathleen Strzelecki’s work “An American Family” will be on display through July 23 at the Lemon Grove Library. The exhibit features 17 paintings examining the life of a South Dakota family and its transition from life on a farm to life in Southern California. Library/exhibit  hours are Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesdays. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free. The library is at 3001 School Lane in Lemon Grove.

PARK PLAY

The Sundays at Six concert in the park series continues. Solid Brass, which plays funk, soul and R&B, takes the stage at Harry Griffen Park beginning at 6 p.m.

HOLE SEEKING

Lemon Grove Lions Club is hosting  a cornhole tournament for SD Center for the Blind and others.  The tournament includes a four game minimum, round-robin tournament with single or double elimination determined by number of players. There are two divisions: the Social Division costs $25/per and the Advanced Division is $40/person. Each player is responsible for having their own partner. Food, beer and a raffle will be available.
