I recentlyhelped unveil two newfire protectiontoolsas we entered thefall wildfireseason.
Thecounty addedathirdfirefightinghelicopter to itsASTREAfleet, basedat Gillespie Field.TheBell 205 A-1 ++canhoist equipment,ferryfirefightersandhas a 375-gallonwater tankforfiresuppression.
Wealso announcedthecreationof theWildfire HazardMap,whichallowsresidentsto see iftheylive inastate-designatedhazardzone. Italsoprovidescritical information onhowto prepareforwildfire.
