The City of La Mesa has launched its La Mesa Façade and Property Improvement Grant program for a fourth consecutive year. This program aims to bolster local businesses by providing grant funds for up to $25,000 for exterior façade improvements such as new awnings, signage, painting, lighting, and land¬scaping.
Online applications are now open. Interested businesses and property owners can review the program guidelines at www.cityoflamesa.us/1708/La-Mesa-Facade-and-Property-Improvement-. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis subject to funding ability. Applications will not be accepted for properties that have previously received grant funding through the program. Additionally, applicants owning or doing business on more than one property may only apply for funding for one property. Projects requiring plan review and/or permits should be ready to submit to the city upon notification of grant award.
