California Little League District 66 will honor lives and legacies of two icons within the league with special memorial awards beginning in 2027.
The Joe Harris Memorial Umpire Award will be presented annually to a baseball umpire who exemplifies integrity, professionalism, leadership, mentorship and faithful service to Little League Baseball while the Shelly White Memorial Umpire Award will recognize a softball umpire whose dedication reflects excellence, sportsmanship, servant leadership and a commitment to advancing Little League Softball.
Both individuals dedicated more than 50 years to their craft.
