The City of La Mesa and the La Mesa Park & Recreation Foundations are holding “Free Summer Movies at the Parks,” from July through August. Movies will be shown at various parks in La Mesa on a large inflatable screen.
The series begins with a “dive-in movie” at the La Mesa Municipal Pool, allowing guests to swim while enjoying a popular film.
Guests are invited to bring a picnic, blanket, or lawn chair. Arrive early to enjoy games, grab a snack, and explore vendors before the movies begin 15 minutes after sunset.

Open swim begins at 6 p.m.
Aug. 23: “Wish,” at Collier Park, 4402 Palm Avenue
Sept. 20: “Wonka,” at La Mesita Park, 8555 Dallas Street
Oct. 18: “Trolls Band Together,” at MacArthur Park, 4900 Memorial Drive
