Country Western Night at the Lakeside Rodeo

The annual Lakeside Rodeo thrilled fans over a four-day performance schedule, April 25-28, at the Lakeside Rodeo Arena adjacent to El Capitan High School.
The first rodeo, pairing man and beast, was performed in 1920.
The event was revived in the 1960s as a fundraiser for sporting facilities at the Lakeside high school.
That takes us to the present day. Congressman Darrell Issa did the stick horse race and also presented a United States flag flown over the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
