On Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 5-9 p.m., El Cajon is celebrating its 40th National Night Out in the parking lot at Parkway Plaza. National Night Out provides an opportunity for open dialogue and building stronger, safer neighborhoods by fostering positive interactions between law enforcement and the local community.
A major highlight of the anniversary celebration is a fitness competition as participants challenge the City’s officers through obstacles. The event features a live band, Whiskey Ridge, with a dance floor. San Diego Wave will attend the event with a mini pitch setup to play in.
This year’s event is poised to “exceed expectations and create unforgettable experiences” for all attendees with a diverse range of activities and attractions, according to the city.
