Brandy Lee Teague, 31, the mother of a 3-year-old girl killed in El Cajon after she allegedly drove under the influence of drugs, is in jail on $1 million bail.
Teague pleaded not guilty to charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of drugs, driving while impaired from drugs and causing great bodily injury to her two other children. She was also charged with three counts of felony child endangerment, methamphetamine possession, and driving with a suspended license.

Teague was driving at 9:43 p.m. on April 4 when she apparently struck a telephone pole at 1163 Broadway, causing major damage to the vehicle.
Carley R. was killed, and the 10 and 2-year-old brothers were hospitalized with injuries.
Although a preliminary hearing was set for April 23 in El Cajon Superior Court, it may be delayed on April 16. If convicted, Teague faces a maximum sentence of 23 years and five months in prison, said Deputy District Attorney Cally Bright.
Woman sentenced in East County burglaries
Martha Aracely Lampley, 37, was sentenced April 8 to 23 years and eight months in prison for breaking into East County homes and stealing many items including delivered packages off porches.
El Cajon Superior Court Judge Daniel Goldstein said the long term was appropriate because “it will warehouse the defendant for a time.” He gave her credit for serving 112 days in jail and fined her $10,473.
Deputy District Attorney Matthew Carberry said “many families were affected” after Lampley burglarized their homes, taking electronic goods, and Christmas gifts in Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, El Cajon, and elsewhere.
Lampley pleaded guilty to burglarizing four homes and she was a third strike offender, having been convicted of burglary, and auto theft before. Goldstein will hold a restitution hearing on July 7 to see if she should pay for lost items not recovered.
El Cajon man pleads not guilty in Craigslist crime
Lucas Churchill Holmes, 20, of El Cajon, pleaded not guilty April 10 to charges of robbery, elder abuse, burglary, and identity theft of a 74-year-old man he had met from a Craigslist online ad.
Holmes is accused of robbing the man after zapping him with a stun gun at the victim’s home. on April 8. The victim was left tied up in a bathtub.
San Diego Superior Court Judge David Szumowski set bail at $200,000. A preliminary hearing was set for May 5. The identity theft charge involved Holmes allegedly using the victim’s credit card.
