Part of the Council for Youth Empowerment (CYE), this Miss El Cajon 2017 pageant on April 15 was an inspiration with all of the young women and girls that have worked diligently into becoming the 2017 El Cajon ambassadors. With some tearful farewells from El Cajon’s 2016 ambassadors it was all done with the sisterhood that CYE brings to these young empowering women.
Part of the Council for Youth Empowerment (CYE), this Miss El Cajon 2017 pageant on April 15 was an inspiration with all of the young women and girls that have worked diligently into becoming the 2017 El Cajon ambassadors. With some tearful farewells from El Cajon’s 2016 ambassadors it was all done with the sisterhood that CYE brings to these young empowering women. For a couple of the 2016 ambassadors the journey continues as Miss Rancho San Diego 2016 Ryan McDonald earned the title of 2017 Miss California CYE along with her Rancho San Diego sister-in-arms Julianna Jackson earning the title of Jr. Teen Miss California 2017.
After a great opening act and a short introduction of the 2017 misses in competition, the event went directly into ball gown and impromptu questions. After months of preparation and prior judging’s done earlier in the day, it was a tough decision, but the judges tallied up the final scores and the 2017 Miss El Cajon and Miss Rancho San Diego title holders were announced. They will now begin the yearlong journey of representing El Cajon in many endeavors for the city, local charities and empowering and inspiring young women throughout the region,
