SPS Pool Supplies opens new location in Santee

SPS Pool Supplies, LLC is Santee’s newest one-stop-shop for pools and spas. With its new retail location, customers can buy all the supplies to take care of their pools and supplies themselves, remodel, or build a new pool or spa. Two young entrepreneurs teamed up together to make both of their dreams come true—own a small business in East County.

On Saturday, SPS Pool Supplies held a double ribbon cutting ceremony with Chamber of Commerce’s from both Santee and Lakeside. With a couple dozen family and friends supporting them, Josh Parks and Adam Moore saw their partnership and dreams come to reality.

Owner Josh Parks began Symphony Pool Services as a pool cleaning service and always had the desire to open a retail store, but did not have the financial resources to do so. He said he and Moore went to high school together, but at that time really did not know each other.

“When we met again, Adam was in the position to come in as a partner and help carry the burden of the financial risk,” he said. “Over the past five years, everything we wanted has happened. You dream about it, write it down and work towards that goal.”

Adam Moore, owner said the business model works with any phase of home pools and spas. He said one of its best products is its solar panel heating systems.

“We do repairs on equipment, remodeling and install solar panels,” he said. “Solar panels are installed on the roof, the pool water runs through it and raises the temperature by 10 degrees.”

Moore said they also provide new construction with its collection of subcontractors.

“If you have a space large enough for a pool or spa, we can start from scratch and come in and do it for you,” he said.

He said when it comes to the new retail location, SPS Pool Supplies has everything needed to maintain, repair, remodel or build a new pool or spa. 

“We have a great relationship with our distributors,” said Parks. “We get the equipment at a great price and pass that savings along to our customer. I am excited about this beginning and we have a strong desire to continue to grow and expand.” Moore’s mother, Christine Moore said Adam is a graduate from San Diego Christian with a degree in business and this is his dream, to own a small business in East County.

“Josh and Adam have worked so hard to get to this point,” she said. “I am just thrilled, it is just amazing and I am asking for God’s blessing on it. I am so proud of them and see them accomplish their dream.”
