“I feel honored and humbled to receive this award as a representative of the many military retirees making contributions on a daily basis in all facets of life and business in the San Diego community,” said Ray in a press release. “Thank-you to Susan Roberts-Egley and the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce for nominating me.”

Ray is a 1980 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a 28-year Navy retiree. He lives in Spring Valley with his wife of 30 years, Mary Jo. Ray also received a Military Hero Challenge Coin from the San Diego Gulls Hockey Club.
