Representatives from California State Senator Joel Anderson’s office toured the local Partnerships With Industry’s (PWI) Santee office to get a full picture of the incredible work being done by the organization on March 24. PWI has been successfully connecting adults with disabilities to opportunities with San Diego County businesses and industries for the last 32 years. Many San Diego businesses, including LEGOLAND to Qualcomm, have benefited from the wonderful partnership with PWI.

PWI, which is located in Anderson’s Senate district, has successfully placed more than 12,000 adults with disabilities in San Diego County in employment and worked hard to ensure that they have the best possible opportunity to succeed with their new employer.

Senior Job Placement Specialist Keith Robinson, who directed them to the conference room to start the tour, greeted Anderson’s representatives. To get to the conference room, a hallway covered in framed pictures was passed that displayed PWI clients working their new job after their successful training with PWI. The tour included a thorough presentation about PWI’s history and innovative programs.

Anderson recognized PWI’s contributions to the community with an official certificate of recognition, and he shared, “Partnerships With Industry has had a profound and positive impact on our community, and I am so grateful for their efforts which benefit both their clients and our economy as a whole.”
