A former Santee gym coach has pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual relations with a teen-age girl he met at the gym.
Patrick Jay Wehrung, 25, was remanded into jail May 27 after entering guilty pleas to three sex crimes. The prosecutor told the judge he was in violation of the no contact order with the victim. Wehrung had been free on $80,000 bond.

San Diego Superior Court Judge Dan Link set sentencing for June 27. Wehrung remains in the South Bay Detention Facility without bail.
Deputy District Attorney Nicole Roth said Wehrung faces a maximum sentence of five years and four months in state prison. She said probation was not ruled out.
Wehrung pleaded guilty to committing unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation, and digital penetration, all with a minor. Nine other charges will be dismissed.
He met the 15-year-old girl at Champion Gymnastics & Cheer, a gym in Santee where he used to work. He was fired after his Feb. 9 arrest.
Santee woman sentenced for hitting boyfriend with baseball bat
Jennifer Rebecca McKee, 36, of Santee, has been sentenced to 180 days of home detention after she pleaded guilty to hitting her boyfriend with a baseball bat.
A charge of trying to hit Myron Smith, 50, with a car was dismissed that stemmed from a Sept. 5, 2015 incident in the 10400 block of Cuyamaca St. in Santee.
El Cajon Superior Court Judge Daniel Goldstein placed McKee on three years probation and gave her credit for serving about three days previously in jail.
The incident was reported from off-duty personnel from the sheriff’s department and National City Police. A charge of trying to remove an officer’s firearm was dismissed. The victim was not hospitalized.
Lakeside burglar sentenced to two years in state prison
Jason Shane Depew, 24, has been sentenced to two years in state prison for committing residential burglary in Lakeside when he cut through a fumigation tent and attempted to take items from a home.
An employee from a termite fumigation company called sheriff’s deputies on April 8 to report a man inside a home at 9:30 a.m. at 9548 Farmington Drive in Lakeside. The employee was removing the tent when he spotted Depew, who fled.
Deputies arrested Depew at the intersection of Lemon Crest Drive and Orange Crest Drive. El Cajon Superior Court Judge John Thompson gave Depew credit for serving seven weeks in jail on May 31. The sheriff’s department said they have been investigated numerous residential burglaries of homes that have been tented for pest fumigation.
