One Salon on Main Street, the dream of master stylist RAFI

He took an older hair salon, stripped it down to nothing, and raised the ceiling. He then added chandeliers, fine wood flooring, and top of the line equipment and grand statuesque mirrors in front of each station. Large screens on the wall and outside window facing the street show the styles, procedures and results of the work of this highly trained hair artist.

Welcome to Maine Street’s One Salon, featuring Master Stylist Rafi.

His newest venture, here in East County is elegant, yet casual in atmosphere, high standards with moderate prices. And that is his vision.

More than 200 people showed for the Grand Opening and ribbon cutting event. Rafi said that the response was what he had hoped for, and the feedback he received is that the salon is nothing like you will find in East County, and it stands alone and has a unique set up.

When he came into the area, after working in one of the best salons in San Diego and Los Angeles, Rafi said he did not come here to cater to any particular clientele.

“Our doors are open to anyone,” he said. “What I am bringing, my concept, is something that I want everyone to understand. We offer something of this magnitude for very affordable prices. You do not have to drive out of East County to get this level of service, commitment and experience. That is my promise to our clients and that is what I am training my stylists to do.”

Rafi still does work on the side, does hair shows and people pay him anywhere between $85-$180 per haircut alone. He said for the level of service and quality of a highly trained professional, his prices at the salon are extremely modest.

Rafi said he knew exactly what he wanted in designing the salon, and that part was easy for him.

“People were happy and very impressed with the salon,” he said. “The feedback that I received was that this salon is like something straight out of New York or Hollywood.”

He said the event, the first of many, went much better than anticipated. The word was already out from people scouting the place and people that already recognize the work that we have done, he said. He said many people showed appreciation for the hard work that was put into creating the salon and as a result of the event, received many bookings.

The original concept of the company is the combination of the hair salon and professional photography services. It is a 2in1 company, serving both as a salon and photography studio.

“Throughout my career, I have heard that I am the one, number one in my profession,” he said. “And that is how I came up with the name. We are already booked for a few events for photography and what we are trying to incorporate are weddings, corporate events, tapping into the real estate market, portraits and documentaries.”

The way that Rafi designed the studio, it is created with the master stylist in mind, the openness of a photography studio and the acoustics for music so that the salon may be used for almost any purpose.

“I am looking forward to all the possibilities, not only for this business and what we do, but getting involved in the community in many ways,” he said. “There are many ways that we can contribute and this salon is a perfect venue for many things other than just hair.”

Rafi is a graduate from the California Hair and Design Academy, then joining leading hair artists at salon De Marcus in downtown and the foremost and most experienced stylists in Hillcrest. He is trained in Joico, Paul Mitchell, Kerastase and Moroccan Oil.

One Salon is located at 118 E. Main Street in El Cajon. To find out more about all of Salon One’s offerings, go to www.onesalonsd.com.

quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center
yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve had a difficult

I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the structure of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more
in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images.

Maybe you could space it out better? http://at-eat.com/phpinfo.php?a%5B%5D=%3Ca+href%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fpoolspawiki.com%2FDoing_Workout_With_A_Ketogenic_Diet%3EKara+Keto+Burn%3C%2Fa%3E
