Located on the grounds of Cuyamaca College, tickets are now available for the Water Conservation Garden’s Perennial Party set for Sept. 30 from 5-8:30 p.m. The Garden will host an evening of live music, dancing, beautiful exhibits, food, wine, beer, and auction items benefitting The Water Conservation Garden.

The Water Conservation Garden CEO/Executive Director Jennifer Pillsbury said this is its annual fundraiser, but it has not been able to hold one since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is a fun party and a great way to build friends and fundraising for The Water Conservation Garden,” she said. “All the fundraising will benefit the Garden’s programming. Education, water conservation, horticulture, educating the community offering classes, both online and in person, on how to be waterwise in everything that you do every day.”

Pillsbury said it will be a garden party theme with a Taste of San Diego with food stations, and passed appetizers so people can do more mingling rather than sitting at a “rubber chicken dinner.”

“It is going to be fun with a big dancing band,” she said. “The Shades of Blue is coming. We are going to have a silent auction and a live auction hoping to raise a lot of money. This is kind of an introduction because next year is our 25th anniversary, and our last gala we had was for our 20th, so we decided to go into our 24th year and kick it off next year which is going to be even bigger with multiple bands. We are very excited.”
