Mission Trails visitor center reopens

After being closed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation Visitor and Interpretive Center is reopening its doors on Jan. 2, with a new art exhibition. “Nature’s Abundance” highlights five artists. A percentage of sales benefit the park through the Foundation. A reception will be held from 2-4 p.m.

The gallery displays a wide range of artistic talents and mediums with award-winning artists Ray Khalife who works with acrylic and mixed media. Wendy Kwasny, and acrylic and oil painter, Ken Roberts, oil paintings, Amy Shindler who works with ceramic and semi-precious stones, and oil painter Tara Sood.

The exhibition runs through Feb. 11.

The MTRP Visitor and Interpretive Center is located at One Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119, and it is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
