Lakeside is holding its Spirit of Christmas along with its Community Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 3-7:30 p.m. The tree lighting ceremony will take place at the Olde Community Church on Maine Avenue directed by the Lakeside Fire Protection District. During Spirit of Christmas, attendees can:
Bring little one’s letters to Santa and drop them off in the North Pole Mailbox.
Visit with Santa and friends from the North Pole.
Watch student performances.
Buy food and beverages.
Entertain kids with activities, crafts, and carnival games.
Shop local craft vendors.
In tandem, the Lakeside Historical Society is opening its Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Resale Shoppe, open Dec. 1-22, Tuesdays-Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Shoppe is open on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
