Friday, Nov. 4 at 11:00 a.m.

A musical celebration of Cuba with Flauta Marvillosa!

In celebration of the 2016 One Book One San Diego title “Waiting for Snow in Havana” join the Spring Valley Library for a free cultural performance by renowned Cuban musician Alberto Corrales Subidá. A former lecturer at the National Museum of Music in Havana, Subidá will share his musical talents, speak on the history of Cuban music and be accompanied by a dance performance featuring Tijuana Pro Danzon. The event is being held at the Spring Valley Library located at 836 Kempton St, on Friday, Nov. 4 at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy refreshments, enter for a chance to win prizes, pick up your copy of the book “Waiting for Snow in Havana” and enjoy a taste of Cuban culture.

Healthy Aging Workshops

In partnership with San Diego County’s Health & Human Services Aging and Independence Services, these bilingual workshops help participants explore ways to reduce fatigue, anxiety, loss of sleep, and chronic pain.

Wednesday Nov. 9 at 6:00 p.m. Mystery Book Club

This month’s thrilling title is “Breaking Creed” by Alex Kava. Pick up your copy from the library today and join the conversation!

Each Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. free GED Class
Prepare for the GED or HiSET test- learn and study english, math, science and social studies at a high school level. FREE GED class given by the Grossmont Adult School. RSVP @ akiefer@guhsd.netor during the class.

Each Saturday at 10 a.m. Citizenship Classes

Free citizenship class that will help you prepare for the process of applying for the U.S. Citizenship. Classes are conducted in English and all materials provided free of charge. Activities for Kids, Teens & Families:
