Arthur Freed and the Golden Age of Movie Musicals. Watch a documentary about the Arthur Freed unit that created many famous MGM musicals. The documentary is full of excerpts from the films. Arthur Freed produced many movies, like The Wizard of Oz, Show Boat, Meet me in St. Louis, and Singin’ in the Rain and co-wrote many of the songs, such as “Singin’ In the Rain” and “Make ‘Em Laugh”. Presented by Leslie Leech in conjunction with Oasis. Saturday, March 3, 1:00 p.m.
