County employees benefit non-profits

The County Employees’ Charitable Organization distributed $110,252 in grants to 68 local nonprofit programs and the Employee Crisis Fund at its annual awards breakfast at the County Operations Center on March 10.

Formed in 1956, CECO distributes 100% of the funds it raises back to the community and has given more than $7 million back to San Diego County.

Organizations receiving grants include:

Basic Assistance to Students
In the Community – Borrego Springs
Crisis House – Santee
Ramona Senior Center
St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center – El Cajon
