It is Flocktober and the Hawthorne Country Store invites San Diegans to “Meet the Flockers,” Saturday, Oct. 5 at all three of its locations in Escondido, Fallbrook, and Santee. The Santee location for this event is at 10845 Woodside Ave.
Chickens are “pets with benefits” and the many benefits include producing protein, recycling waste, and creating fertilizer. Hawthorne Country Store has a core belief of maintaining, teaching, and supporting homesteading skills. The event allows guests to meet their team of Flockers and learn about chicken care and pick out new chicks for the family.
