Through Dec. 31, the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 112th Annual East County Honors Awards Gala on Feb. 24 at Sycuan Casino Resort.
Businesses and organizations nominated should exhibit outstanding customer service, maintain a positive reputation, and consistently deliver top quality services, and must be a member of the East County Chamber of Commerce. Self-nominations are encouraged, and businesses may submit nominations for multiple categories.

Community Service Leaders nominees should exhibit excellent community involvement, have a consistent history of working and contributing on behalf of the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce and its mission, demonstrate a strong sense of ethics and personal integrity, be current Chamber members in good standings.
Business & Education Person of the Year: This award honors an individual who has actively worked to develop improved understanding and respect between the business and education communities. Their efforts have resulted in positive new collaborations with local business and education to generate desirable outcomes. Award inspired by C. Allen Paul.
Business Volunteer of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who exemplifies a steadfast dedication, passion, and commitment to the East County region through volunteerism. This nominee should be a role model of the business community and demonstrate outcomes that positively impact the community. Award inspired by “Stoney” Stone.
Community Partner of the Year: This award recognizes the Chamber business member for their role in promoting collaboration among the communities in East County, and their ongoing efforts to improve the region’s overall quality of life. This nominee is a strong and active community partner who has gone outside the normal course of business to create a positive community impact. Award inspired by George Felix.
Leadership East County: This Alumni Member of the East County Leadership Program demonstrates Leadership in the community resulting in a substantial positive impact. This individual works to better the community through public service, projects, or volunteerism. Ultimately, this East County Leadership graduate is a person who has made a significant difference in the community. Award inspired by Cliff Diamond.
Public Service Person of the Year: This award is presented to an outstanding individual serving in the public sector who has demonstrated actions that have resulted in making a significantly positive impact to the business community. Award inspired by Wendell Cutting.
