St. Madeleine Sophie’s Auxiliary celebrates 50 years of fundraising

St. Madeleine Sophie’s Auxiliary has been raising funds for people with developmental disabilities since 1966. All of the funds go to St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center and help more than 400 students. Many of the students have jobs or are working on a new job skills. Some earn income for art work, as well as for seniors over the age of 50 who want to stay productive and engaged. The center is located at 2119 East Madison Avenue in El Cajon.

The Auxiliary’s most recent fundraiser was a 50’s Diner, called the “Blast from the Past,” with a live band, Elvis impersonator, and lots of food and dandinc on February 17, 2016 at the El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812.
