What can a housing provider ask you about your disability?

I call BS on the hateful article that Kareem wrote on 12/28/16. How dare she write as if she’s better than someone else. How dare she put down a segment of our population that already has been bullied and kick them while they’re down by saying their situation is not real and therefore does not count. Suicide rates are tragically high in the transgendered community, especially in teens and young adults. As if transgenders would pick such a hard life that is packed full of hatred and misunderstanding by so many.

The California Association of Nonprofits had its inaugural “Nonprofit Day” celebration to recognize and honor the importance of nonprofit organizations to the state and the economy, as well as their impacts on the communities they serve. To help with this, each member of the State Assembly and State Senate picked a nonprofit organization from their district to honor. 


The Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation (MTRPF) is pleased to present an exhibition featuring seven award winning artists who work in various mediums - Lois Adler-Roussell, Susanne Flowers, Ralph Kingery, Caroline Morse, Shannon O'Dunn, Roz Oserin and Susan Weinberg-Harter.

This exhibit will be on display in the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Art Gallery

On Dec. 8, more than 200 El Cajon residents and UnitedHealthcare employees built a new playground at Crisis House Community Resource Center. 

Local children helped design the new 2,500-square-foot playground during a “design day” event in October, incorporating a spiral slide, sky swivels and cozy cocoon into the design. The new playground will offer nearly 4,500 kids served by the Community Resource Center a place to play.
