The Miss La Mesa & Santee Pageants takes much into consideration before choosing the next ambassadors. Many hours of community service, essays, interviews and then on the night of the pageant, each contestant gave a one minute speech, then in full evening wear competition had some tough impromptu questions to answer. And all of the contestants represented their cities well and the judges had difficult decisions to make.

Rebecca Hudson, 23, crowned, as Miss Santee 2015 is a graduate of Bellus Academy and a student at Grossmont College. Heather Cantin, 12, from Carlton Oaks Elementary joins the court as Miss Teen Santee 2015.

For the city of La Mesa, Tiffany Hoffman, 24, earned the crown for Miss La Mesa 2015. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and Baybr University, MSED. By her side for the next year, Kaitilyn Mayhue, 16, from Grossmont High School earned the crown as Miss Teen La Mesa 2015.

Many other honors were given that night with former Miss Teen Santee 2013 Marrissa Lawrence receiving the Miss Congeniality Award, Most Photogenic Award and the Facebook Fan Page Award. Choreographer Claudia Dyson-Hightower was recognized for her 30th year of creating the Opening Number. It was an evening of high spirits, entertainment and inspiration as each contestant demonstrated what is needed to be an ambassador of the city they represent.
